True acquaintance with the artists, of course, begins with her or his paintings. If so, then our acquaintance with the famous artist and teacher Alla Juzepolska began a few years ago with the charity painting «Angel with a Big Heart». Alla’s work can also be said to be with a big heart

«My life was so complicated that I still went back to drawing. After finishing the first year, I went to Teaching at the painting school of Inna Velichko (headed by the regional youth creative union of artists and art critics, the host of the cultural and art center «Polisska hata» – ed.). It was in 2007. A year later, they searched for a teacher at the number one School of Music. No one wanted to go to such a salary, 70 UAH .. I agreed. I worked at this school for two years. Studied with children, we taught each other … Thanks to children’s creativity my naive art developed. I am very comfortable with children. I tell them that I am probably a happy person because I go to work for them»

«… When my child was five years old (I did not teach at the time), I brought her to study painting with Raisa Feodosiivna Enina (taught in Zhytomyr school number 17. – Ed.). She was just standing at the door waiting for my baby. I was amazed that the teacher was interesting and passionate about working with five years old children. She did not work for the public – she worked with every child. Now I understand how difficult it is: to work at the same time with twenty young children who all listened to her. For me, Raisa Feodosiivna became a model for teaching»

«All children are artists . Much depends on the parents. Familiar with many wonderful families. Now, a family with three sons – maths, athletes and chess players – has come to mind. But my parents tell me: we are very grateful that you have developed a taste – it is indispensable, we notice your handwriting. After 4 years of study with me I let my children go to senior art school. In 10-12 years my graduates continue to study at Elena Dubinina (teacher, director of V. Shkurinsky Art School. – Ed.)»

«Every person’s genius is their work. A person’s achievements are in the business he likes and works on a lot. You know, I also had a student who came every morning (smiling). By this time, no one could come, only he. Maxim is a wonderful boy, this year he is completing his studies as an architect. And every day on Teacher’s Day he thanks me»

«My students dream of designing hats, gloves, handbags, accessories, dresses and outerwear … (smiles). Nobody knows how their lives will turn out. But what is laid down in childhood does not disappear. Knowledge and skills acquired from childhood will be useful in adulthood, even in household matters»

«The laws of color science will be needed by every person in life. Elementary, understand the opposite of colors, such as a beautiful red dress with a green handbag»

«I do not like patterns. The child is always surrounded by rules at school. The picture also provides the rules and basics. But these rules can be supplemented by your vision, you know? Drawing lesson is first and foremost the aesthetic development of children. The baby needs freedom. What is the will? It’s great when adults give their child the freedom to think»

«Yes, we parents, educators, can tell our children, but it is much more important to hear our children, give them the right to decide what their care is, to support them. Likes when parents come to class. It seems to me that the parents of their children see for real then»

«It is important to distinguish art therapy from the school of painting. Any school is hard work. And individual workshops, especially for adults, are an opportunity for a moment of happiness here and now. Here is the very art of art therapy I would recommend to all people. There is no one who does not draw. Sometimes people who have not received a full-fledged art education themselves do not notice how they paint without patterns, because they draw feelings. This is the very first taste of a person»

«When I work with academic canvases, such as writing still lifes, it tastes good to me. I relish the process. Creating other canvases, I want to break away from the ground. We are often surrounded by a certain monumentality, so these naive, fun heroes have appeared to distract ourselves and the viewers of the paintings. But these heroes are not mysterious, but have their own good fortune. They may be a little clumsy, moving, but not at all cute»

«I am working on charitable social and artistic projects in support of children, ATO warriors, patients of medical institutions … and with my artwork, a calendar was printed, the proceeds of which were directed to support ATO warriors. Also, together with the students in 2018, they initiated an action «Angels for the Warriors»: they created more than 200 souvenirs. The whole of our school, the music school number 1 named after B. Liatoshynskyi, joined this action. I was pleased that we were united in this business, but it was very difficult in my heart …»

«Within the framework of the action «Childhood – time to dream» we collect children’s drawings, well executed, light and here it is advisable to say about them that they are naughty (smiles). We transfer them to children’s clinics and hospitals. This action was taken under the auspices of the Department for Family, Youth and Sports Affairs of Zhytomyr City Council, headed by Iryna Kovalchuk. My work «Angel with a big heart» was printed as postcards and calendars, which were transferred to medical institutions in our city»

«For me, postcards are still paintings. They can help people more in circulation»

«I perceive magnets with the image of the painting quietly. Not everyone can buy a masterpiece. But many will be able to buy a postcard or magnet on the fridge and mention the authors more often»

«I regret not having music education. I watch children learning music and drawing. They perceive and think differently. They quickly «grasp» and just as quickly approach the results in their creative work. Sometimes I draw to a classical music, especially in summer and spring. In the winter I paint a little: the light is not enough»

«I come to nine o’clock in class and return from work at half past eight o’clock in the evening. I draw on vacation. When I sit down to draw, life seems to slow down. My relatives know about it»

«I like cold colors more. Lilac. Emerald. Blue. Ultramarine. And one of warm ones – purple …»

«I love everything that is created by hands. I can work with a hammer and a nail or do any decoupage»

«Yes, I have been painting since childhood. I used to make money once. Maybe I was eleven years old then. And for the money, I bought oil paints, primed canvas, cardboard, not in the right way. Oil paints were such a dream for me! But I didn’t know what to do with them (laughs). Then I visited the class, we had graphics, we drew illustrations for fairy tales …and I gladly ran for these classes. Something turned out, and something not. But I immediately wanted to be an artist. Now I realize that I am then, that my students are now – we are no different in this desire. As a kid, I thought of something like this: if I draw a picture, who will see it? And if I paint the gate? I painted on each part of the gate, and there were three, drawings. After the first «square» I was tired, but painted the gate completely. At all of these gates, the clothes were dirty. But then everyone saw that I was drawing. The roses were good, but using the gate became harder (laughs)»

«It is pleasant when people give a piece of art to a birthday. Such a gift, of course, is personal. It seems to me that the painting can be bestowed on more loved ones, relatives»

«I would also like to say about our contemporary artists. Yuriy Dubinin, Yuriy Kamyshny, Yuriy Suprunchuk. And Peter Bogomaz is really great! He is a painter and graphic artist. His paintings are immersed and make him think of his own canvases, I like it»

«I collect bells (smiles). I take them from those places that I visited. When I bought the first bell, they told me mysteriously: «It’s a Money Bell …» In general, I don’t believe it. But sometimes, when you call during the torsion, it really works. How it works?»

«How beautiful Zhytomyr is? … I will say that recently the town has started to turn gray, but it still needs colors. For any object of the town to be comfortable and beautiful, a whole team of specialists should work on it together. I like the greenery of the city. Pushkinska stree is a corner for artists»
