Who knows what men’s controversy may end, but sometimes very useful things appear. For example, world-famous books are being created
One day, two respectable gentlemen went to hunt. Whether the hunt was successful, history silences, but about the outcome of their dispute, we really know and we are with you. Then, in the distant 1955, Sir Hugh Beaver, Executive Director of the Guinness Brewery, and the county governor of Wexford could not finally determine which bird in Europe was the fastest. They did not come to an agreement, but they did not even find an answer to this, it seems, a very simple question in official sources. And then Hugh Beaver decided to create a book of facts and figures, naming it in honor of his own factory.
The office for the creative team was opened in two rooms in the renovated gymnasium on the upper floor of Ludgate House. Worked with enthusiasm, without a weekend, and for a year of painstaking work created the desired. All team members from the beginning were confident that the book will become world-famous bestseller and one of the most recognizable and reliable brands in the world. And on November 9, 1955, more than 60 years ago, an authoritative source was officially registered.
Over the years of its existence, the Guinness Book has indeed become a non-appealing leader in stories about non-standard achievements. Some of us will remember today, on the birthday of the world-famous book.
US resident Donald Gorsko has consumed 28,788 Big Mac burgers from McDonald’s. He ate over 40 years of it every day. The record is fixed in the book on August 24, 2016.
The Indiano’s widow, Rama Singh Chauhan, is the longest on Earth and is 14 feet long, and it is 4.27 meters. On March 4, 2010, in Rome, Italy, this unbeatable record was recorded to this day.
After the first skin piercing in January 1997, Elaine Davidson was punctured 4,225 times as of June 8, 2006. Guinness’s official source argues that a woman is constantly experimenting with piercing jewelry, especially on her face, but also likes to add tattoos, creative makeup and feathers to her image.
Zhytomyr also made its own contribution to the world-famous book.
In 2008, Leonid Stadnik was recognized as the highest man of the planet. His phenomenal growth was 257 cm. Leonid had a record size of shoes – 62, weighed about 200 kg and characterized by uncharacteristic problems with the metabolism of substances.
But our beautiful choral choir “Orea” has set the world record for the performance of the Rimsky-Korsakov “Bumblebee Flight” and recreated the orchestral interlude for the opera “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” in just 59 seconds!
Well, controversy forever, if the result is the truth!
