In 2004, a new holiday in honor of … bloggers arose in the world. Thanks to a student from Stanford’s American University, who proposed on the Internet the idea of creating a Day for activists from the network, on June 14, the International Blogger Day
The term “blog” comes from the English “blog” – an online publication or diary in which articles, pictures or video material are published. And all this is done for an open review to discuss with the author or other blog posters.
If some people think that blogs have nothing to do, then we’re disappointed: most likely it’s not. Approximately 77% of Internet users (and almost all of them) are readers of some or other blogs. Some are so enthralled that they have been writing their own blog for several years, and 21% of strangers have been conducting their diaries for over six years.
As for gender equality, here almost everything is in order of 40/60. And although stereotypes usually say that “women love to lose their lives”, only 40% of bloggers are women.
The richest and most successful blogger of our time is Michael Arington, a 48-year-old founder of the TechCrunch blog, or a site about topical technological innovations. Michael’s profits from the blog are 600-800 thousand dollars a month. In the gambling industry, by the year 2017, Daniel Middleton (DanTDM), known for its Minecraft straws, became the leader.
The income of the guy is $ 16.5 million, and the number of signers – 16.8 million.
Do not confuse this holiday with Blog Day – Blog Day, which is annually celebrated on August 31st. They were all confused there in general: they compared the letters in the word “blog” with a number of digits in the series and 3108, that is, 31 August. And they are welcome on this day, they are somehow weird: on this day, every blogger publishes on his page 5 active links to other diaries on different thematic areas. We will not do this, and you can just tag us!
