What is the most popular call to visit at all times? Indeed, we say: “Come on tea”. Today, December 15, International Tea Day, and we will recall “tea specialties”
Tea is the most used drink in the world, and the variety of its flavors can be enjoyed at any time and in any city. According to statistics, on the day about 2 billion people use this traditional drink.
Home rouge tea, known for its rich health benefits, is a strong favorite among beverage drinkers around the world. They can be enjoyed in a variety of ways: hot or cold, with the addition of wine to the tea, gin, vodka, cider, making tea cocktails. Tea is also used as a flavor enhancer in yogurt, ice cream, syrups, sauces, and the like.
Casual must must be considered an integral part of cosmetic products and can be added in anti-aging skin creams, shampoos and perfumes. Do you accidentally have no Green Tea in a cosmetic bag?
According to Ernest du Tooth, director of the Council of the South African Rooibos Council, the tea roe, which is grown exclusively in the Cederberg region, is one of the most popular among beverages.
The world’s tea consumption of rooibos is about 15,000 tons a year, and the growing demand for this product pushes exports to a mark of over 7,000 tons per year. If export and local volumes were completely sold and used by people around the world as a pure drink, without addition, it would amount to approximately 6 billion cups of tea rooibos per year.
South Africa exports tea in more than 30 countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Germany continues to be the largest importer of tea rooibos: its share is 31% of total imports, for the Netherlands the figure is 16%, for Japan 15%.
Interestingly, the generally accepted status of tea as one of the most delicious beverages in the world has led to the creation of smart tea bars and tea shops that appear almost every corner of the street, as well as aroused new interest and demand for the Rooibos variety.
“Tea is becoming a new coffee of the 21st century,” said Ernest du Thoth. – Lovers of tea are no longer satisfied with the mediocre tea of the mass market. They choose better tea bags and a non-standard wrapper, and tea companies respond to the demand for offers with a wider selection of teas. ”
Interestingly, packers, sellers, exporters, tea equipment specialists, as well as tea bloggers and the authors of thematic books on tea drinks and culture, benefit greatly from the tea revolution.
