Interestingly, the work of a system administrator is considered flawless only when it is not noticed. Everything should work flawlessly, without any glitches in the network or system, and until the “troubles” begin, system administrators are not mentioned.
It is often said that the working day of the representatives of this profession is very short, but it is not really so. Most often, these people have a non-standard work schedule. It often happens that the system administrator can work around the clock – until the problem is localized so that the network can start functioning properly again.
Did you know that a music album was recorded for system administrators? No, it’s not a joke. In 2007, the music collection “Admin Songs” was released. This album includes 20 tracks about computers, the Internet and the hobbies of system administrators.
At a time when our Ukrainian system administrators do not pay attention to the professional holiday, European experts show an example of how to celebrate: they celebrate a “professional” holiday every Friday the 13th.
