Tamara Prymak is the author of dolls, which creates their own hands for more than 50 years. It is not just toys, but a story of life, in which there was sadness and joy, light and anguish, gain and loss.
Doll is a science, a true gift that is given to talented and sincere people. The gift of this did not come to our heroine with the mother’s milk, she learned this art already grown up at the Institute of Culture at the Library Faculty, and in an unusual craft she found her vocation.
Tamara Sergeyevna has worked for 32 consecutive years in the center of creativity of children and youth, leading the circle of Ukrainian souvenirs and created over 1000 completely different and unique dolls. Her heroes and heroine are the fruits of their own imagination, various literary and folk heroes, animals and mythical creatures.
Of the pieces of fabric that brings familiarity to her, former students and admirers of her talent, threads, buttons and even old wigs, which are very difficult to find now, are born dolls with a special appearance, their own character and their destiny. Tamara Dolls live their lives: they participate in city, regional and even all-Ukrainian creative competitions. They would be happy to buy, but they are not for sale – it is Ukrainian heritage, samples of modern applied art.
Everyone knows that real masters always have students. Tamara had more than a hundred of them each year, and the child with pleasure studied in her hard and creative work. The true Teacher is always able to explain and show, making the difficult task easier. Our fashion designer herself developed unique toys and patterns for them.
Already half a century of its works – the color of many exhibitions and theaters. Figures of St. Nicholas and angels according to individual sketches Tamara were transferred to a Sunday school and boarding schools for children with visual impairments, adorn the shelves of her relatives and friends far from Ukraine. The most memorable and intimate spirit for her are the characters of Gogol’s “Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka”, which she created for two hundred years since the birth of a great writer.
The craftsman believes in the sacred content of the dolls, and in her rich collection there are dolls-reels. Sometimes, dolls-wanders fall into the hands of good owners as a gift, and for all years, she has not put up any doll for sale. Creativity, which a beautiful and inspired woman is engaged not only for the sake of pleasure, is intended to preserve the interest of people in authentic art and Ukrainian history.
In recent years Tamara had two personal exhibitions in the department of art of the regional library, but his 82 (!) Does not plan to stop at the achievement.
To the question “What is the beauty of a woman?” Tamara gave her an exhaustive answer: in spirituality, in hard work and in inner strength, because the dolls for her are not just a hobby, but the meaning of life, the way chosen by the soul.
