If you can’t go to the space, do something for the space to come to you or at least to become a bit closer. Don’t you know how to do that? Let’s go to Serhii Koroliov’s Astronauts’ Museum in Zhytomyr and we’ll tell you about TOP-5 cosmic gimmicks you can see here.

1. Do you think these are toys? No, these are missile simulators made by museum’s member – Andrii Vasyliev.
These are missile simulators of all the countries which have the full range of space launch vehicles’ manufacture.

This part of exhibits is currently in Lithuanian Ethnocosmology Museum.
By the way, you can visit Lithuanian colleagues online straightaway from our museum.
2. The globe of Moon seems natural at the first sight, but it is not like that.
THE GLOBE OF MOON SEEMS NATURAL BUT IT’S NOT LIKE THAT
The globe is created after shots made by automatic interplanetary station (AMS) “Moon-3” in 1959.
Photographs were being automatically printed or with the help of telemetry were delivered to the Earth.
LOOK INTO THE PAST: TELEMETRY IS A PROTOTYPE OF THE INTERNET
Nowadays we have the Internet, Wi-Fi, but far back in 1959…It was almost 60 years ago!
3. First astronauts have returned home by draining device “Vostok”, the analog of the one here, in museum. In such a way Gagarin, Titov, Nikolaiev, Popovych, Bykovskii and Tereshkova returned.
Interestingly, they did it having ejected themselves from the aircraft, because there was not enough soft-landing engine in the capsule.

4. Food…How could we live without it? Even in the outer space you have to be healthily fed. There was a set of food – the present from State Space Agency of Ukraine.
There are tubes here with soups and drinks, cosmic bread, cookies and even an ice-cream.
Amazingly, some of exhibits have not yet finished expiry date.
5. What falls on the Earth’s surface from the space? Right! Meteorite!

Here we have a meteorite from Namibia which was presented museum by an art expert Iryna Kopot.
By all means, 5 cosmic gimmicks will make the space closer to you, but it’s better to feel the riddle-atmosphere here, in Zhytomyr Serhii Koroliov’s Astronauts’ Museum.
