«いただきます» – is a wish «Enjoy your meal» in Japanese while serving a dish. Though, it is a small and cozy café,where sushi is a basic element of the menu ,and we were never surprised by such words,but it is really worth visiting «Su&Bu» again and again

Location Velyka Berdychivska St.-one of the central streets of our town, where lots and lots of different cafes, coffee shops and restaurants. You can always choose a suitable place due to your taste and mood, but there are always highlighters, which attract me now and then. For instance,cozyness. Zhytomyr is a calm and quiet town, that’s why any rush and noise sometimes seem unusual. Though in «Su&Bu» there is always an atypical and uncommon atmosphere,very cozy and moreover there is a stop of public transport nearby. When speaking about the landmarks you should better concentrate your attention on the House of Ukrainian Culture,which the citizens of Zhytomyr also know as a historical monument.
Close to it in a common 5-story building is situated the restaurant «Su&Bu». If you are driving a car,so you can freely leave it by the corner of the house: there is a parking place.
Interior What is your association with the East cuisine? It is always a green colour somehow. Restrained, ecological, exotic to some degree for a European, this is the way we see such an interior. The one can not but agree that enjoying East cuisine dishes in a special room with a certain East atmosphere is something! A «Wow!» I may say! The principle of comfort you can see in every detail of the interior in «Su&Bu». All the design from the idea to the embodiment is due to the hosts – Stepan and Oleksiy. Basic colours are white, black and green. White leather sofa near the black wall, black and white chairs, white tables and lots of green plants. Every detail in the interior has its own story. There are several zones in the interior of «Su&Bu»,and the first one is near the window along the wall. Sitting by the window on the tall chair is very comfortable for watching the passersby. The second zone is ahall with a sofa and TV. Noone had never slept on that sofa near the TV, but is really very comfortable to watch «Friends» in a merry company. And the third zone and the most important is kitchen. It is open small kitchen zone and its a real philosophic concept, built on the openness: if you want to see, you are welcome! No secrets at all!
Cuisine If you think that you know everything about sushi be sure: in «Su&Bu» they will find something to surprise you. For those who love classics there are traditional types of sushi, for example, «Philadelphia». Our gastro expert chose a variant with salmon, though there are also with shrimps, tuna and blackhead. For sushi-experts there are also end-rolls with different types of filling, sushi «California» and «Dragons». The main chip of the place is pressed sushi and sushi-burito. It was found by the Canadians and it became a basis for sushi-chieves in «Su&Bu». We shouldn’t reveal all the secrets to you but our gastro expert tasted the new dish and appreciated it. Real sushi gurmans can enjoy the slight mix of tastes: salmon and fried banana, tuna and dykon, shrimp and avocado, snowy crab, caviar tobico and cucumber. As a decoration they use lots of green-sprouts on the beans. The Europeans usually eat a soup for lunch and the East cuisine lovers know that everything about the nutrition and the exotic tastes of the East cuisine soup. In the menu of «Su&Bu» there are two types of soup-misso from tofu and vacame or misso from shitake with a smoked chicken, but both of them are delicious. Іf you want a classical lunch, so salads are ready to be ordered! And of course, they are also from the East cuisine:sushi-salad with shrimp,sushi-salad with salmon, sushi-salad with blackhead. There are sauces: nut, kimchi, unagi, terijaki and the traditional dressing-soy sauce, vasabi, ginger and sesame. For preparing a tasty and high-quality dish, you need certain ingredients and «Su&Bu» has its own approach to this question-all the products are selected and tested. It is logically: a healthy food-a healthy approach. You must agree that would be illogically to serve ecological meals in a plastic plate, so the dishes are also ecological here. If you are not a fan of the East cuisine, but are eager to communicate so coffee with cookies is for you. By the way, speaking about the trust: coffee-machine is in the middle of the hall, so you can make coffee when you want to. Those, who are vegetarians will also find meals for them-vegetarian burrito with marinated carrot, cheese tofu ,salad, avocado, mushrooms shitake and algaes vacame. Though this dish has its target audience it is quiet tasty, nutritious and useful.
Service The point of service in restaurants and cafes in Zhytomyr has become a question of different debates: it is told about the absolute absence of understanding of etiquette. But in eco-friendly cozyness of «SU&Bu» you will understand one point: when people love their job they make everything perfectly. At first you will be met with a smile, then you will be told about each dish in particular. And the host will give the most comfortable place-in all these details you will feel care and desire to enjoy every moment of life. For instance, we felt that we know each other thousands of years and charismatic hosts are our good friends.
Interesting things When we speak about special service, besides the coffee-machine in a free access there are also another points. For example, you can try yourself as a sushi-chief if you want to learn the basics. The hosts of «Su&Bu» can offer you to do it yourself or to give you a master class. Moreover, you can order catering. Besides, the East cuisine dishes which perfectly suit to corporate events,you can order traditional dishes. We usually pay our attention during our gastro trips to the kids zones. There is no special kids zone in «Su&Bu» but there are always toys and authors cookies for children. And what is more the entrance is comfortable for young mommys with prams, and for adults who are on the strollers and not every place in Zhytomyr is done for that.
So,even if you don’t consider yourself as an East cuisine lover you should visit cozy eco-friendly restaurant «Su&Bu» and evaluate authors sushi, spiced with the openness and love for the work they do.
