What if the rhythm of life of citizens is faster, although, the opportunity to have dinner with three courses of food is less and the desire to eat instead of “plastic” fast food healthy and tasty dishes is more? Yes, gastro project Zhytomyr.Travel likes gastronomic math! And to solve this interesting puzzle Svitlana Seiko invited us to «Burger Bar».
“Burger Bar” appeared in Zhytomyr instead of famous restaurant “Kabachok” after participating in the reality show “Na nozhah” with Olha Freimut. Main inspector of country reviewed the work of the institution and brought about changes in everything from kitchen and interior to the relationship in the team.
«Burger Bar» is located in the center of Zhytomyr, in front of a public bus stop at Peremohy Square so visitors of the city can find a facility quickly and easily: go out of the vehicle, make a few steps forward and you get to summer terrace.
If you go by car, there will not be parking problems: you can park the car across the road near the bank.
Kitchen menu is driven up by burgers “as they are”, but in an unusual concept: no fast food, flavor enhancers and “plastic” ingredients with long-term storage.
“Only fresh soft bread, juicy meat, organic vegetables and cheeses, homemade sauces – a perfectly balanced product even for such apologists of healthy food as I am” – says Svitlana.
Selecting the products here is a very serious thing. Meat is purchased every morning, because they believe that after freezing it loses a third of juiciness.
In total you can taste here about 15 kinds of burgers that are differ in size, stuffing and even the color: a pink, green and black are beef, fish, chicken (pork burgers are not cooked), cheese, with grilled vegetables for vegetarians. Here is also prepared a “naked” burger without bread: it’s only meat and vegetables.
The choice is impressive, but probably they decided that only the burgers will not be enough and added to the menu proven culinary bestsellers: soups, appetizers, salads and desserts. In «Burger Bar» there is a separate lunch menu, children’s menu and alcohol menu.
Today for lunch I chose the latter hit of burger fashion «Black Burger» with black bread, a portion of salad with avocado and arugula, mineral water. However, any additional burgers are served with potatoes: either French fries or home-made. Coal-colored loaf is really original (added to dough food cuttlefish ink), although the taste is no different from usual. The meat in burgers is perfect: juicy beef with spicy notes. I admired that they skewer the burger, so you can conveniently hold it in hand. Taste of the salad with avocado successfully highlighted not only by arugula and by pine nuts as well.
Price of order is 150 UAH.
Service: If you want a quick and tasty meal – in «Burger Bar» you might like it. Here are delicious breakfasts for residents who are rushing for quick lunches and for employees of nearby offices. I have not had dinner here yet, but I think that this will also be the appropriate atmosphere, summer terrace in the heart of the city, water pipes, music, champagne with strawberries for girls. As says the owner of the establishment, updated «Burger Bar» has more foreigners these days: they come to try a modern format. There is also an English-language menu. Moreover, guests with children are always welcomed: here are toys and board for painting.
Interior: Famous Ukrainian designers Yudins of the project “Na nozhah” have helped with creating design. Modern classics former “Kabachok” and chairs with carved legs, floor lamps and comfortable typewriters are diluted with modern loft, open ceiling and showed massive ventilation pipes, walls made of black and red and added a bold decor with metal chains. Designers also identified in «Burger Bar» separate lounge area with armchairs-bags.
Interesting: On weekdays here is updated daily lunch with enjoyable fixed price. Every Tuesday is a discount for hookahs. For eager to eat not only bread (read – burgers), but the spectacles, they designed an open kitchen. And in the same room with the “Burger Bar” there is “Coffeemania” in format coffee-to-go: you can always take with you a tasty drink and something sweet.
