This year Zhytomyr State University named after Ivan Franko is celebrating its 100 years anniversary! During this long period of time 90 000 of students had been graduated from it, and for sure the university has someone to be boast of. The remeniscences of her students life shared with us a leader of the top Ukrainian show «HAPPY RANOK» at the radio station «Hit Fm» Julia Karpova. It can be said for sure that she is a pride of the university

«I was studying at the Educational Scientific institute of Philology and Journalistics by the profession « A Teacher of the Ukrainian language and literature. Editing educational editions» from 2010 to 2014. Now I work as a leader at the morning show « HAPPY RANOK» on «Hit Fm», a leader of backstage at «X-Factor», and as a teacher of the language technology and the basics of dubbing»

«During my whole life I was dreaming to become a journalist, editor or a writer. But once when I went home by bus( at that time I was studying at Year eleven) I’ve heard an announcement : «If you want to work with us on a radio,so call us! And come up! We have a casting!» So when I went there they gave same tests when I solved them , I have heard the answer : « You are not a media person! You do not suit us!» From that very moment I used to call on the radio twice a week and begged them to hire me. They ignored me, asked me not to call anymore but in this situation helped my persistence. And so in a year I went on air»

«My expectations from job really come true. When I entered the university I have already been working as a news leader at the radio station «Record FM». At the moment I work at « Hit FM», and in August I will be celebrating my 10 years anniversary of my working here»

«Remember, that noone needs you after the graduation. Don’t build up any dreams, noone is waiting when you will get your diploma. You have to search for job to create something. Of course, it is very hard to combine, but when you graduate even with a little working experience it is evaluating much more than you can only study hard»

«One more tip: be a little bit « meticulous». Remember that a silly question is that you haven’t asked it. If you are really interested in something, but you haven’t got the idea from the first time, so ask one more time. It isn’t a shame. Because once never asked or understood question can become a decisive one. And one more thing: always defend yourself, even if you go against the whole group. Have your own opinion!»

«Remeniscences of my students life? Once the Head of my group Katja Buhajchyk said: «Karpova, when I will have children, I want you to become their godmother.» And so 7 years had passed since that moment, and in 2017 I had become her godmother. And more, I remember that at the first year of studying I became a winner of the contest « The Student of the Year», and gained 500 UAH for that. At those times, in 2010 it was great money, which I spent during a month»

«I remember, when I was at the second year of studying and my group mate and I were passing the exam « Contemporary Russian Literature» and got a four,so we understood that we are not going to get a scholarship. And when we went out the auditorium, we sat down and weeped, later on I understood that it’s not so much important, but maybe at that very moment I wanted some «drama queen» emotions, so I just sat and cried» (Laughing)

«I think of some teachers with a great warmth. First of all, it is Biloys Petro Vasyliovuch,that because of him I entered the Zhytomyr State University named after Ivan Franko. Among 15 applications available I wrote the only one. Petro Vasyliovuch was the head of my scientific work and we had great results on the regional and national levels. And even at the first year of studying I became a winner with this work in the International Scientific Conference»

«We were mostly afraid of the subject « Ukrainian Literature» with Valerij Ivanovuch Bashmanivskiy as a teacher. We were always writing tests by the books we read before, but we never managed to write them normally. He had his own special methods: he wrote those tests paying attention to different detais of a book. If you even have read a book 15 minutes ago,it wouldn’t give you guarantee that your answers will be correct. I remember the questions to the book «Tuhrolovu»: « What color was the stone on the hand of a knife that the main character had lost in the forest?»

«There was one teacher whose lessons I attended thoroughly,even though his subject did not refer to Philology by no means. It was our « economic» Serhij Mukolajovuch Nikolaenko. First of all, he had a great sense of humour, and as for me now, I was in love with him, so my friend and I attended all his lessons»

«I want to say some words about our curator- Maria Volodumurivna Maslovska. We called her mother Maria. We together organised tea parties with cookies and cakes. It could even last for half a day. The most important is that we liked this a lot. And Bilobrovchuk. I am so glad that my students years were at the same time as his teaching at the university. He used to communicate with us as we were at the same level with him and had a wonderful sense of humour. Every year my head of a group reminds me of his birthday and I call him and congratulate»
