«Witches» A comedy horror film – a film adaptation of the novel of the same name, written back in 1983 by the British Roald Dahl. In 1990, the plot was already transferred to the big screens. According to the creators of the new film, this time it will be more in line with the original work than the first film version. Starring Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci and other famous actors. And the plot revolves around the adventures of an ordinary (at first glance!) eight-year-old boy Luke, who likes to listen to his grandmother’s stories and legends. He is especially struck by mystical stories about witches, which seem to exist in real life, hiding in the image of people. One day Luke encounters the Supreme Witch and tries to defeat her terrible plans: she has planned to turn every child on her way into a mouse! Will the boy be able to save the world from the idea of an evil and insidious witch? «Criminal bosses» Kyle and Swain are petty drug dealers. They work for a drug lord from Arkansas who has never even been seen. When their new deal ends in catastrophic failure, the young criminals do not even hope for pardon and decide to play on the lead, eliminating their boss. What awaits them in the end? Harsh realities are subtly combined with humor. We will not burden with terminology and talk about the genre of the film to neo-noir, let’s just say that the film is in the style of Tarantino and the Cohen brothers. «One more» It is difficult for ordinary Ukrainian film lovers to determine the pros and cons of Danish comedies, as they do not appear so often on our movie screens. So don’t miss this time. The main characters of the comedy from the Danish director and screenwriter Thomas Winterberg were four high school teachers who decided to experiment. Men are familiar with the theory of their countryman-philosopher, according to which the level of alcohol in the blood should be 0.5% above normal. In this state, a person maintains optimal performance, as well as mood and communication skills. The men approached the experiment with all seriousness – they did not miss drinking alcohol. The lives of friends have never been so full, bright and interesting, but now the experiment got out of control. What will the extraordinary experience turn out for the four of them? We will find out from November 12.
«Hollywood Scam» The film is a remake of Harry Hurwitz’s 1982 film of the same name. According to the plot of the comedy, the Hollywood film producer has a considerable debt to the boss of the local mafia, and there is a certain stagnation in his work. To pay off the debt, the protagonist and his assistant hire an old actor to shoot him in a fake movie, hoping that the star will die on the site, and they will receive money from insurance. To bring death closer, the producer adds dangerous scenes with explosions and tricks to the film, but the man is not as simple as he seems! The comedy has garnered Oscar-winning cast: Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones and Robert De Niro, who even has two Oscar statuettes. We can’t wait for November 19, when the film will be released in Ukraine.
«Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland» The film is a prequel to the fairy tales «Alice in Wonderland» and «Peter Pan». The film tells the story of Alice, before she went to Wonderland, and the story of Peter, before he became Pen. According to the plot, the fairy-tale characters were brother and sister. Their adventures began thanks to the power of imagination, inherited from a loving mother and a dreamer-father. The charming mother of Alice and Peter was played by Angelina Jolie. The cast includes Michael Kane and David Oyelow. The film is directed by Brenda Champen, winner of the Oscar for the animated blockbuster «Braveheart», as well as the author of the script for the original cartoon «The Lion King» and «Beauty and the Beast». On November 26, the film will appear on the big screens of Ukraine, and parents with children will enjoy a wonderful fairy tale. Why not?
