Distance learning, especially in the case of medical facilities, was not only discussed by the lazy. “Sofa experts” even agreed that everything was better before. However, it turns out that in fact not everything is so bad, and modern technology has long allowed to train specialists remotely. We talked with Mykola Stadnyk, a teacher of anatomy at the Novohrad-Volynsky Medical Vocational College, the developer of the computer program “ICloud Educational Cloud”, about the quality, the latest technologies and the small homeland, which are important for the training of qualified representatives of the medical sphere
“At one time, I also graduated from the Novohrad-Volynsky Medical Vocational College – I entered without any privileges. After training, he worked as a paramedic for several years in a small town near Novohrad, in a district hospital. This is such an experience, just do not tell: the countryside, the salary of a paramedic is “very high”. (Laughs) He later received additional education in “Physical Rehabilitation”. There are few specialists in this field today, as well as in fact, specialized medical institutions…”

“The idea to work as a teacher at a medical college was not accidental. If you do not like students, you should not work as a teacher. The most interesting thing is to watch how students change during the study period, grow up in front of their eyes. In life, it is important to learn to read not only ordinary books, but people and their life stories – books of life. The hardest and most important thing is to “add” to that book, realizing that you can add a line or an entire paragraph, and in some cases, influence the content. What matters is how we influence students, the changes over the four years of study. This is the main thing ”
“I do not want to be feared – it does not create an atmosphere of development, but there must be a boundary between teacher and student. It is also important for me that students understand that they can always ask for advice. I’m ready to lend a helping hand”

“The curriculum prescribes all the requirements for the training of future medical workers, and this not only applies to professional qualities, but also requires the formation of universal values. Given the current trends in child development, when time is mostly spent with a smartphone in hand, you need to develop communication skills, the ability to communicate “live”. There are professions, specialties, which will never go to the “distance”, and this is primarily the profession of medical workers. Maybe everyone will leave, and doctors will work, will communicate with living people. And it is precisely the ability to communicate, to find a common language that is important here”
“Today I teach a very important discipline called “Human Anatomy”, although I am sure that each of the subjects is interesting and necessary. Interest in the subject largely depends on the teacher: how much he is immersed in aspects of teaching a discipline, looking for “highlights”

“I have a hobby, my way of relaxing is programming. After seven years at the college, the idea came to create the computer program “iCloud”. Currently, it is used by 12 educational institutions, in fact it is 15,000 users per month – a small family… “Learning Cloud” was designed by pieces: some elements have already existed since 2013, the seal “Prooved by MES” we gained in 2017, and the last name the program got in 2018”
“Thanks to the platform, we have long been ready for distance learning. Back in 2008, some scientists wrote about the format of remote interaction, but in fact it was not used – it existed on paper. At that time, no one could have thought that this would be an alternative to full-time education. Unfortunately, educational institutions in Ukraine do not have their own platforms for online learning”

“We entered the distance learning confidently and now we are not afraid to return it, despite the practice-oriented educational institution, when practical training is the basis of the educational process. Even during the full-time form of education, we were able to optimize processes: students in a smartphone could open all the theoretical material, watch videos, images, but during the practical lesson to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge. I think sooner or later the distance will displace the classic form of learning, to which we are so accustomed”
