Some prominent people called chess a quiet game of music of the mind. Logic, tactics, strategy, memory – all this can be developed by playing chess. And of course, it’s best to start small. We did not intentionally choose our interlocutors: the children who participated in the competitions were resting between parties. We asked simple questions: What is the appeal of the game ,what they will do when they grow up, what a chess-free world would be like. I received extremely profound, albeit childish, direct responses from intelligent and well-meaning people who are determined to win
