“The best gift is a book,” our parents said. And, as for me, they were not mistaken. It is rather difficult to choose from a variety of collections and editions.
“Lviv Chocolate Workshop” continues to give the opportunity to improve the taste. This time is literary. On December 14th, there was a meeting with the young Ukrainian poet Olena Huseinova, who presented her book “Superheroes”.
Such meetings are always interesting for the reader to feel the energy of the artist or masters who bring their works to the readership.
According to critics, “Superheroes” is a book in which there are almost no metaphors, and simple things are said about complex things.
The excited, but frank author, recited his own poetry, telling the story of their creation, revealed the deep meaning of verses written by the versifier.
Elena says: “The fact that the human experience is placed is fiction. No music, no movie, no painting cannot put it like that. ”
All that is said in the collection is real. Super heroes are the heroes of everyday life or even close people. And only the author himself admits that he has no super powers.
The moderator of the presentation of the book “Superheroes” was Hanna Ulura, who is among the five most influential figures among Ukrainian literary critics. By exposing the reader to the secrets of writing poetry, criticism forced the audience to reflect on philosophical questions: “The boundary of openness – the openness that you cause pain.”
After the meeting, we were able to communicate with Anna about the results of the literary year, the power of Ukrainian poetry, innovation in literature, and reading promotion. Criticism spoke about the novel of the year according to the Air Force, which became the text of Tanya Malyarchuk “Abandonment”.
Anna noted the Zhytomyr literary school of prose writers and the quality work of the Zhytomyr Publishing House, headed by Ilya Strongovsky.
Among those present at the meeting were Olena Galeta, literary criticism and culturology, Ph.D. in Philology, associate professor of the Department of Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature, Lviv National Ivan Franko University, guest lecturer in Yagello (Poland), Humboldt (Germany) and other European universities.
“For the last several years, the Ukrainian cities have changed, and I hope that Zhytomyr is exactly such a city,” the guest said.

“Lviv Chocolate Workshop” is divided into “small treasures” of modern Ukrainian literature, which make life expressive, and invites all connoisseurs to visit.
