Attractive and delicate blonde with a confident posture is not posh at all. Calm and thoughtful Zhytomyr citizen Yulia Yelistratova, triathlete, the leader of European rate of 2014-2014, silver medalist of European championship among women, European cПопередня сторінка‹hampion among young adults, multiple winner and medalist of World Cup and Europe series, multiple Ukrainian champion, triple member of Olympic Games (2008, 2012, 2016) tells us about her star-life.
Sport for me is the happiest coincidence. Firstly, I’ve been dancing, and then my parents realized I’m a fidget and brought me to a swimming pool. It was more like a health group, spending of time or just physical training.
In my childhood I wasn’t punished, I was only explained if it was needed.
SPORT FOR ME IS THE HAPPIEST COINCIDENCE
The first championship I won with the help of semiprofessional feeblish bike. Father said: “You have to earn money to buy a bike”. He was right because it was additional motivation for me.
There are no simple kinds of sport. Every type requires a lot of effort. I have a 5-hours training every day.
Is it sport character? When I’m with friends or family, I’m sweet and tender, but in sport you have to put a lot of effort even more than 100% of possible.
THERE ARE NO SIMPLE KINDS OF SPORT. EACH ONE REQUIRES A LOT OF EFFORT
I fully respect Paralympics. They always do much more than it’s possible and prove that person can achieve anything if there is a desire. They are good examples for us.
I was always lucky to meet nice and warm people. Somebody often helps by giving advice, doing a favor.
There is a lack of free time. Moreover, I am getting my degree now. I enjoy active rest: ice rink, bowling.
I’m probably too sentimental. When Ukrainian anthem starts playing, it’s incredibly honorable when you understand your input for your own country.
Foreign languages are necessary to know. Having successfully studied at school and then at university, I am fluent in English. When you perfectly know the language, the social circle is wider. I’d also like to learn Spanish, but unfortunately, I don’t have enough time.
WHEN YOU HEAR UKRAINIAN ANTHEM, IT’S INCREDIBLY HONORABLE AND YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR INPUT IN YOUR OWN COUNRTY
I was growing in Zhytomyr, I’ve been living here for all my life. Here are perfect conditions for trainings.
If you have a desire, here you can hold championships and meetings as well.
I love my occupation, my business. It’s not even a job, it is life.
