Do you feel that spring is coming? Everybody’s looking forward to it. The springiest fest uCRAZYans held by Non-governmental organization “Dyvovyzhni” and international civil society organization Pact has helped to encourage and implement the nicest ideas of Zhytomyr citizens in real life.
Social game uCRAZYans which took place on March 18, introduced those who make life better themselves. You can be surprised but there is a big amount of such people. Despite bad and cold weather, they didn’t stay at home! Wintry clouds have been passed by, loud music was turned on, unnoticeably-grey walls of “Smolensk” were painted and everything planned was successfully accomplished. Who said that serious things can’t be done with smile and pleasure?
Interactive museum where guests were figuring out how to follow positive changes in Zhytomyr, have decided to solve timely problems, get acquainted with activities of various community organizations and become familiar with social projects, hosted both children and adults. There were activities after all people’s hearts. For example, Non-governmental organization “UYCA” (Ukrainian Youth Climate Association) has shown how to prevent undesirable changes of climate. The program “Doluchaisia!” has proven the necessity of increasing a level of awareness and participation of Zhytomyr citizens in their city’s life.
City council has announced an enrollment for educational youth program “School of local governance”. A campaigner of “ArtTerapiia” reminded about charity.
Civic organization “Zhytomyr! Zroby Holosnishe” gave anybody who wants an opportunity to make their city brighter – all together were painting Zhytomyr urban space in bright colors.
There also were guest stars” Mariia Nasiedkina – a leader of CO “Dyvovyzhni”, Aider Halilov – chief programming manager of international organization Pact (promotion program of “Doluchaisia!”, Nelia Kovaliuk – regional representative in National Assembly of disabled people in Ukraine and head of “Molod. Zhinka ta Simia” and a lot other interesting spokesmen.
Lively conversation took place with the help of popular media-figure Michael Shchur, who explored the topic of civic efforts in nice and sarcastic way, in particular, gave effective recommendations about dealing with neighbors.
Social quest, kids’ theme park, huge chess, goodies from “Lviv Chocolate Workshop” and “FatPAPA”, magnets, stickers, cards and many other small but pleasant things – it was fun and exciting.
As usual, the coolest thing was cosmic location – you know what I mean, you don’t have an opportunity to make a cosmic photo with astronauts from uCRAZYans every day!
Moreover, everyone could plant in eco-flower pot a herb themselves and take it home. What could be a better way to remind everyone that a state of nature is in our hands? There was a cool way to educate people to save energy: exercycle, spinning the pedals of which everyone could charge their phones.
Having migrated from one location to another, people could find something interesting and useful for them, share their ideas, meet friends (it’s Zhytomyr!) or get acquainted with like-minded people.
The most important is the fact that every person understood the main message of the event: there are many unindifferent to Zhytomyr people and they stand good together. So, let’s band together and implement our ideas, because Zhytomyr is in hands of those who love it!
