Who does not know the fairy tale “Bremen Music”? From childhood, we enjoy the adventures of creative musicians who even made the princess happy. The most famous “foretaste” of street music, it turns out, is the bearer of a whole philosophy – the philosophy of freedom of creativity, which usually has its followers. And how else to call people who for the sake of ideas carry “light to the masses”?

Ira and Lera are students of the music school. The first time they went to a whole ensemble of violinists, but now they play together. What for? As they themselves determine in order to bring joy to people, play the pieces that are not in the curriculum and just give people the opportunity to listen to classical music.
They say that ordinary listeners thank them for what they do, they even ordered “something from Mozart.” Girls played on Khreshchatyk but, in their opinion, there was more fuss and indifference there. In Zhytomyr, whether people are freer, or the attitude to music is different – our people feel the beauty! And they pay for it not only with smiles and a good word, but also money.
Ira and Lera are free people; they want to study, and to pay for their studies independently, not to strain parents. True philosophy of freedom!
Alexander – artist from Mukachevo, who played in the duet “Flamenco”, came to Zhitomir to friends. He went to Mykhailivska, because sometimes he just likes to play. And you know, he said that we have a cool platform. More cool than in Lviv!
Such simple wishes of free people lead to strange things: the 2007 music musical flask, conducted at the initiative of Lithuanian musician Andrius Mamontovas in Vilnius, has become the largest volunteer project in the world. Subsequently, a new holiday, the Street Music Day, which is celebrated on the third Saturday of May, also appeared.
Flamenco, works by Mozart or Vivaldi in the performance of street musicians become close and habitual for Zhytomyr people. And little music presents is not only a professional performance and a repertoire adapted to taste. These are new strokes to the portrait of Zhytomyr, which are added daily by street musicians.
And they all say they wanted to thank. For the updated Mykhailivska, for what became better acoustics, which became freer and more convenient. This is not surprising: free people are able to thank.
