For some reason, the names of contemporary artists are little known, and those who live next to us today here in Zhytomyr, especially. And in vain! There are many talented artists among Zhytomyr artists, their work is distinguished by individual style of work, deep thoughts and vivid feelings…
To know what the city lives, you need to be interested in the lives of its inhabitants. Zhytomyr does not often host art exhibitions or non-trivial events, but there are artistic spaces that help to immerse yourself in cultural life, feel the mood, atmosphere, meet people who produce special energy of the city. Art is the best guide in history. On the artists’ canvases you can see what happened hundreds of years ago, and at the same time what could have happened yesterday, or a reflection of the events of the artist’s life. Stressful situations, shocks and any strong emotional outburst generate inspiration, push to create something that can illustrate the feelings experienced. In addition to composing parts of photographs, objects in space, paper, Sony’s works also contain various inscriptions. Most often, they are also parts of words or letters cut from different sources, and together create fragments of important ideas. It seems that with these statements the author makes us participants in her thought process. This creates a special bond between the artist and the viewer and makes the artist’s work unique.
