In recent years, supporters of this celebration have increased.
Viktor Kiseliov, who annually dives into a baptismal font on the river Teteriv, says about the benefits of such a procedure: “In itself, bathing in the hole in the winter – a great stress for the body. But then you are covered with an incredible euphoria: wings would probably have flown! ”
Together with the experienced sinker, we prepared the TOP-5 tips for those who decided to plunge into the healing water on the Baptism.
1. Within 1-2 days before bathing in the hole should take a contrast shower, gradually reducing the temperature of water. Do not interfere with walks. Let’s go, all to fresh air!
2. If you do not have time to prepare, but aspiring to clean up, just before the diving is warming the body – a small charge or jog is welcome! Of course, it is necessary to warm up by movements, and not by drinks.
3. People with cardiovascular disease and other chronic diseases should not risk their own lives for the sake of “bright impressions.” It’s better to just be baptized with water, this procedure also cleans and inspires!
4. It is necessary to swim in the consecrated water with pure thoughts and thoughts, only at will, and not forcibly or for a company. You aspire to spiritual purification, right?
5. After the ritual – obligatory warming up! Do not forget to bring with you a big towel, comfortable warm clothes, slippers, a small pad on which you will stand during changing clothes. And still hot tea with healing herbs and honey! A few drinks of that drink will seem not just delicious; it will be an indescribable bliss!
On the shore of Teteriv on January 19, in the city Hydropark from 10.00 to 16.00 pm, celebrations will take place on the occasion of the Epiphany. Come, celebrate, believe in the healing properties of water, and remember that cleansing must begin with respect and love for those near, to the city in which you live.
