Mirgorodskyi’s Cossack Elder Ivan the King gave birth to the family. Maybe that’s why Korolenko’s father became a judge. His wife, Evelina Yosypivna, was a Polish noblewoman.

What do intelligent people say? Of course it’s about art, books. In Korolenko’s family there was an extraordinary library, it should be seen with their own eyes. At the old exquisite bureau – a collection of rare books in Polish, the publication of the historical novels of Polish authors, works by Adam Mickiewicz and translations into Polish of French writers of the 18th and 19th centuries.
Zhytomyr citizen Korolenko is known far beyond Ukraine. But there are a lot of prominent Ukrainians who have posthumous hands. It is worth a look at the museum.
To feel Zhitomir, to look into its past can also be on the road: the Stravinsky street still retains color.
