In December, the world’s cinema produced cinematic entertainers with spectacular and vivid comedies, dramatic and unexpected thrillers, action-like action films and romantic and sensual stories about true love. Will they become the “delicious dessert” of the world cinema festival in 2017? We must try!
“Foreigner” The Hollywood movie giants are Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. This is a modern action movie from the director Casino Royale. The film tells the story of the humble London businessman Quan, whose long-buried past breaks into a vengeful vendetta, when the only person left in his life – a teenage daughter – is taken away from him through senseless politically motivated terrorism. Quang is forced to enter into a conflict with a British government official, whose own past can hide the key to the identification of elusive killers, in his quest for terrorists. An engaging and sharp-minded criminal story will hold on to the Ukrainian audience since December 1.”Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Star Wars Star Wars continues to captivate Rey’s epic story and expose the expelled Jedi master Luca Skywalker, and also tells of the war between General Leia Organa and the First Order. “The Last Jedi” is a chronological continuation of the Star Wars: Episode VII “Awakening of Force”, filmed thirty years after the completion of the original Trilogy of Star Wars. Fans of the cult saga will be able to observe the epic development of cinema events on the big screen since December 14.
“Jumonji” The original film was filmed in 1995. It was a frightening and adventure screening in which a man was locked in a board game for 26 years until two children finished the game. In the new adventure, four teenagers are drawn into the world of Dzhumandzhy to survive – play characters from the game: shy Spencer becomes a strong and courageous explorer from whom the girls are crazy; Fried is transformed into Einstein; Beauty Bethany becomes a professor, and non-athletic and clumsy Martha falls into the body of the Amazonian warrior. To win the game and return to the planet Earth in their lives, they will have to solve a lot of complicated puzzles and get used to new bodies. A modern screen adaptation of a familiar cinema will please its fans already on December 21st.
“Very bad mommy-2” The continuation of the first part of the comic story tells about the pre-Christmas life of three young mothers – unhappy and overwhelmed women worried on the eve of festive fuss. Famous beauties – Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Katherine Khan will well and hardly fight the expectations of their babies before Christmas and the challenges that face each one. On their “help” their own mothers come with a lot of advice. Festive New Year spirit and purely American jokes will be waiting for their audience in Ukrainian cinemas on December 28th.
“Murder of the Holy Deer” The psychological thriller with the participation of Nicole Kidman, Colin Farrell, and Alicia Silverstone from the first minutes captures his story and a chain of mysterious events. Charismatic cardiac surgeon Stephen is forced to sacrifice after his life begins to collapse. The guy is the behavior of a teenager, whom Stephen took under his wing. The boy reveals to the doctor the reason for his revenge: his father’s death on the operating table. Exit for the boy only in the death of a member of the medical family. What end will have a tense history, viewers of Ukrainian cinemas will be seen from December 28th.
And we will be watching the 2017 film premieres and expect new, less captivating and vibrant cinematic enthusiasts of the year 2018.
