Several years ago, together with Georgy Mokrytsky, the editor-in-chief of the Volyn Publishing House, went to an expedition to prepare the tourist guide “Cycle Zhytomyr region”. After a while, the impression from the scene that left pleasant memories and persuasion aroused…
When you live in a city, you often do not notice an important, mysteriously interesting side. It seems to you that an apartment, office, or cafe in which you drink coffee with friends – here it is, Life! You have an illusion!
Because the true life is far beyond the metropolis, alone with nature, with every flower in the field, every path in the woods. An old village hut, an old church on a steep slope, a semi-destroyed manor house…
The church or fortress has its own history, its special charm. They are romantic and heroic, and their story is breathtakingly beautiful and interesting.
Long ago, when I saw a beautiful, unusual in everyday life, I was excited about: “Such beauty! We have to do something about it, and people are passing along, do not pay attention. «Then I realized. We must stop and stand, but it is better to sit and look, look so long, until the world ceases to exist for you and you will remain alone, contemplating each other. Then surely this beauty, all of history and personality will fill you, and leaving your place, you will take everything with you.
Chinese folk wisdom advises: “… look, listen, an hour, two, three, and let the whole world wait for you”. That’s what it is worth doing, then numerous monuments of the past and modern landscapes will have a lifelong effect, and the fresh morning and the smell of adventures will induce things to forget about everything.
It happens: some detail falls to the heart and life changes, although the essence of things remains.
Travel through your native places! Bring with your friends, family, children or grandchildren and own the world around you, its past and present.
Our life is a way to go along which we must love our homeland. And for this it needs to be known.
