To the query «the most popular team game», the Google omniscient gives the expected answer – football. However, we should not only thank the players for enjoying the spectacle on the field. Today, everyone understands that the possibility of developing any sport requires sports managers – people who are engaged in the organization, training, provision, without which the team can not exist, and athletes develop. We talked with sports manager Veronika Denysenko about the development of sports, women’s football and future stars
«I never thought that fate would bring me to football. In fact, I’m not a football player – I do sports management. Sometime in 2007, I met my future husband, who played football. I went with him everywhere – training, matches. Then my husband died, and I stayed in football. I always wanted to join the upbringing of children, and first I was invited to help manage the structure of the children’s team of FC «InBev FARR Kids» in Zhytomyr. I was responsible and enthusiastic about its creation, I invited my interested friends to form an administration at InBev FARR Kids FC. This was my first experience as a children’s team administrator, and, in my opinion, I did a lot to make InBev FARR Kids FC a top children’s club in Zhytomyr. Thanks to this experience, I was offered the position of managing manager in the children’s structure of the Football Academy of Polissya. Children’s Football Academy – a beautiful, promising and ambitious project»
«Comprehensive development of children of different levels of training is the main goal of our football academy. The coaching staff of the academy motivates and develops young athletes who happily go to all-Ukrainian competitions, gain important and unforgettable playing experience. Parents, coaches and the administration of our academy create such a microclimate in the team, which forms a child’s lasting interest in football, which is then reborn in love for this sport»
«Football, as a team sport, shapes a child’s personality and adapts it in society. Children understand what responsibility is, a team, they start to care for each other… If you sit in gadgets and live in a virtual world from an early age, you will not learn to communicate. Such children become irritated, do not think about help and respect. Sports teach the child discipline, there is an understanding of collective responsibility and the importance of their role in the team»
«Parents who think about the future of the child, form a useful pastime for the child. Our academy helps parents in this and society in general… A lot depends on the education and views of parents! Of course, children should not be forced to do something if they do not like it. We need to find our own»
«Coaches are a very serious topic. We have young coaches who try to grow constantly of their own free will. They are interested in gaining knowledge, mastering new techniques. In order for sport to develop, it is necessary to support the aspirations of people who try to do it»
«There were three girls for a group of five-year-old children at the academy – Solomiya, Vika and Anya. They were more active than the boys, and this stimulated other children. Usually girls who play football are very active, fearless on the field and play with pleasure. We plan to open a separate branch for girls of different ages and levels of training. I want to develop women’s football in the future, but now there are some limitations. Maybe we will renew everything from August in full force»
«There is a women’s football team in Zhytomyr, but it is a team from all children’s schools, which in my opinion is wrong. The team of like-minded people in our academy wants to reach a level where girls will be represented in all age groups. My dream is that someday they, like the boys, will play each other in competitions in groups of children of the same age»
«The composition of the women’s team «Polissya»- girls who were brought up in a children’s sports school. These are players from different cities of Ukraine: Kharkiv, Vinnytsia. You need to train your girls to strengthen the team, but in Zhytomyr, women’s football is developing too slowly. For some reason, no one is interested in us, although I do not quite understand it. It’s a pity, because there are girls who want to play football»
«Today we focus on little girls aged seven to eight, who will train, practice, and then play professionally… Victor Alexandrovych Tvardovsky – one of the few children’s coaches who believes in the development of women’s football and is actively working in this direction in Zhytomyr . Being a coach is much harder than being a player, but it is even harder to be a women’s team coach. In fact, every workout is a result, and a special thank to him for that! As a sports manager, I can say that there is everything for the development of women’s football in Ukraine, except the desire of those who can really solve the problem»
«A sports manager has to keep himself in good physical shape, and although I’m not a footballer, I do it all the time. In fact, we are part of sports life, so we need to be conscious of maintaining fitness. I use different types of exercise: four times a week – cardio, twice – cycling, twice – running and once a week – strength training in the gym. By the way, I played football only once as a member of the corporate women’s team. Then we even won the prize fund»
«I am very inspired by the results of our students. When you see how they learn, begin to understand the coach, go out on the field and play fully – it’s extremely motivating!»
