Sometimes to create a psychological garmony we have to hear a warm word or a piece of advice from another person. Sometimes there are close people around us; it becomes that such a person is a psychologist, who helps to solve the problems. Victoria Senkevuch is a freelance medical psychologist of the Department of Health and AIDS center psychologist. In the past a member of the KVN team «Girls from Zhytomyr», twice a champion of the Association of KVN in Ukraine in the different teams during her lifetime, she brings a positive in herself and shares it with the others
«I have a doctor’s dynasty in my family: my grandad and grandma were psychologists and mum and dad were doctors too. So the profession of a doctor is that I was motivated from the early childhood. At first I wanted to enter the Shevchenko University, but the contest was too big and it was really hard to get there. I entered it, but because of some family circumstances I had to stay in Zhytomyr, and in 1992 I entered the Zhytomyr State University named after Ivan Franko to the faculty « Biology and Chemistry». Then I have made the most important decision in my life-to get the second education in the profession «Psychology». I have never considered myself as a teacher, so I tried to find myself in medicine. So that from 1997 to 2000 I worked in Zhytomyr regional narcological dispansery»

«The most I liked during the student’s years were the KVN games…Studying was boring for me. So there happened the political and economical crisis, and even on the background of this ruination students tried to have fun. There was a little of humorous content, so KVN was such a form, which helped the youngsters to open themselves and to claim about things and reveal them, which was ok about the post soviet union people»

«KVN was a challenge, it was brave and aggressive. I visited all the university events and KVN games. And realised that there was no team from our «Biology» faculty, so we gathered together and fixed it. From that time we were fighting for the first place. Such a form of spending free time was quite intellectual, as every part of the performance we had to think through and prepare»

«Now there are people with a creative potential, who just write texts for the orders. We prepared everything by ourselves, we were directors, actors and singers by ourselves. So it was the most important: there must not be professional actors at the stage,but the ordinary students who just wanted to show themselves. Later I was invited to the gathered university team «Virtyozu Zhytomyra». There performed only the titled players. For instance, I was deeply impressed when I saw Maryna Poplavska at the stage fir the first time. She was a star for me, and I even couldn’t imagine that we will become friends in the future»

«Our serious first performances started in 1997. We went to Sochi and took part in the Highest league of KVN, which was organised by the creative company «AMik». That year we also went to Yurmala, where a musical festival «Voicing KiViN» took place. At that time there were only three awards which could be fought for. And though we were the youngest team we managed to gain an award « Maluj KiViN in dark»

«Later there was organised a team «Girls from Zhytomyr». At that time, our team performed at the same stage with « Uralskie Pelmeni», « Novue armiane» and the other well known teams. Even now I keep in touch with some players, call them from time to time and text them»

«Now any performance is a very hard work. Despite that you have to turn creatively, you also have to think over every second of your performance in order not be caught in a trouble with your team. Performance is a great responsibility as a lot depends on you,your words, your artictism. For a team to work as a whole mechanism long years are needed. And for achieving success you have to combine art with hard work»

«It is very interesting to watch the projects in which your acquaintances take place. We rarely see each other, but I can watch them on the screen»

«At that time KVN opened new routes and new possibilities for the youngsters, but during the years the political and economical conditions had changed, and so many teams broke up. From 2000 I work in my profession, a psychologist, in a medical center in the department of control and prevention of HIV and AIDS infection. And when you have a job with a certain schedule so you have to combine it with the KVN trips. So I set up my holidays in such a way that I can go to a game. There I understood a very important rule- if you want to achieve something in your life, so you have to work hard- nothing comes to you easily»

«When I just started my work in the AIDS center,so I liked a lot, that people advise with me. For example, when we met with friends they always asked me about my job. So our innocent conversation turned into a preventive measure. I told about the risks which really exist, emphasised on that what should be done, and even advised some people to be examined»

«My job has its own special things like any other. The most important for the psychologist is to preserve your neutrality, tolerance and try not to take to your heart. With some time there can be an emotional burning out like in the other jobs, and to avoid it, there must be some unloadings: to have rest, to switch your attention and concentrate on positive. Sometimes you have to ignore your own desires- you have to stay humanistic and to help those who need it»

«The major part of your time you have to dedicate to your family. The family stands upon some traditions, rituals ,which bring them together, so all the religious and state holidays you have to celebrate in your family circle, to keep the family connections»

«Even when something bad happens to you, try to find something good, and so the troubles will never come back»

« I like travelling, and so I do like walking down the streets. I like our Bulvar in Zhytomyr, the cafés which create the atmosphere of coziness. For many long years I go through Mukhailivska, and it is pleasant to see how a common stree turned into a vivid, where lives a spirit of Zhytomyr»
