The fact that a new theater appeared in Zhytomyr does not all know, although the birth of a new one is a joyous and solemn moment. But, unfortunately, many have already been fortunate enough to attend the performances of this theater. Do not you believe?

Often on sunny days on Mykhailivska or on the Staryi Bulvar Streets from afar you can hear the sound of joyful children. They laugh and cry, because they are not just a performance, but an entire action, which participants themselves become. Toddlers dance when the old pianist plays, they sing to the colorful singer, but the most pleasure is their small, smart dog, who is fluttering with a ball thrown by a playful dog, happy children and even adults. To hear applause, compliments … So the idea to create a theater studio puppets-puppets “Compliment”, which was headed by Sergei Solovyov, was born.
The desire to “revive” matter has long been our ancestors, and since Sergei became a little wizard, for he has been skillfully making puppet dolls for a long time, mastering the art of managing these most difficult guys and dynamics of dolls. The hobby, which has long been transformed into work, brings pleasure both to the author and the audience.
“Complement” with its actors-dolls is very mobile, so it often travels to those who can not visit the puppet theater because they are locked into a bed or wheelchair. And although the dolls are not home yet, because there is no room for the theater, the newborn “Complement” has many plans: from the continuation of street performances to the creation of workshops and studios for small dolls.

From the idea of ​​the street theater “Complement” is not going to refuse, because it is this form that provides direct contact with the viewer, the opportunity for improvisation, new creative finds and even such “street” patronage. That’s how Sergiy Solovyov studied – Alex Jorgensen, a puppet of the highest quality, whose skill Sergei takes over and embodies.
Now there are about fifteen actors in the theater, but they are all unusual – these are dolls made by Sergei himself. Of course, for a theatrical performance, the dolls need the one who will manage them, and for the individual projects in “Complement” will be drawn puppets. Although dealing with puppets is not so simple, but one who has a desire, who has an inspiration and a flame, will definitely be able to master this science. Make a doll yourself, master the basics of acting, prepare performances for your parents, friends or other spectators – all this can be done in theater studio. The repertoire has not yet been approved, but the main thing is that not only actors but spectators will participate in the performances.
Marionette dolls have existed for a long time, historians have confirmed their existence in ancient Rome, Greece and even in Egypt. And everywhere they helped people understand important things, as they did in the days of Euripides and Menander in Ancient Athens, and then at the time of Moliere and Beaumarchais in Paris, or Shakespeare and Sheridan in London. Then, as now, they told people about honor and dignity, crimes and punishment, love and devotion. Dogs, crows, rats are not just dolls but allegorical images that help to understand life and do not forget that people must remain human beings.
For its work the young theater already even managed to receive an award at the International Festival “Podillya Doll” in Vinnytsa – a diploma “First Street Performance”.
